NAIROBI Cheap Nike Free x Metcon Men's Training Shoes Black , Jan. 8 (Xinhua)--World Cross Country silver medalist Bedan Karoki has prioritized two major championships for 2016, the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the World Half Marathon in Cardiff, Wales.

The Japan-based long distance runner said with good planning and training, the country will be able to reclaim the 10,000m title, last won in 1968 Games by Naftali Temu.

"We are getting closer and I believe Mo Farah is sensing that the gap has been reduced and to win in Rio will be a major struggle. But we have to look at the present and what matters now is the qualification first," Karoki said on Friday from Nyahururu in central Kenya.

A hamstring injury took the wind out of Karoki's sail in the build up to the 2012 London Olympics, which he struggled to finish fifth. But the 25-year-old in now keen to make amends in Rio.

"In Beijing, we had a good strategy and Farah was lucky to escape with the gold. It will be harder in Rio. For me I was frustrated to finish fourth and I believe we can work on it better as a team and that is why I want to compete at the World Half Marathon together with my friend Geoffrey Kamworor," he added.

Though Kenya is yet to name its team to the World Half Marathon, defending champion Kamworor has confirmed he is keen to retain his title.

And now Karoki has also sounded out Athletics Kenya (AK) officials to consider him for the same competition.

The two won gold and silver in Guiyang, China in March last year during the World Cross Country Championships.

Karoki hopes that 2015 world leader Abraham Cheroben will also focus on the championship road race.

Karoki expects to open his 2016 campaign at the Discovery Cross Country Championships in Eldoret on Jan. 31. He is also set to race at the RAK half marathon on Feb. 13.

NEW YORK, June 24 (Xinhua) -- China's Xunlei Limited made its trading debut Tuesday on the NASDAQ Global Select Market and saw its shares soared on the first trading day.

Xunlei announced the pricing of its initial public offering (IPO) of 7.315 million American Depositary Shares (ADSs), each ADS representing five common shares, at an offering price of 12 U.S. dollars per ADS, above its expected price range of 9 dollars to 11 dollars.

Xunlei's shares, which traded under the ticker symbol "XNET," jumped 24.83 percent to close at 14.98 dollars a share after the first trading day.

In addition, the underwriters have been granted a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,097,250 ADSs.

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. are acting as the joint book-running managers of the offering and the representatives of the underwriters. Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. is acting as the co-manager for this offering.

Sean Shenglong Zou, chief executive officer of Xunlei, told Xinhua in an interview Tuesday that "Xunlei is a very unique company in terms of its technological and product innovation."

Xunlei operates a powerful internet platform in China based on cloud computing to provide users with quick and easy access to digital media content through its core products and services, Xunlei Accelerator and the cloud acceleration subscription services.

"I think Xunlei will continue to keep up with the latest development of technological innovation to enhance our cloud acceleration services and various internet value-added services in a bid to provide better and, most importantly, almost free services to our users," Zou said.

According to the company's prospectus filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Comission, Xunlei effectively provides cloud acceleration products and services to users on a range of internet-enabled devices, including PC, television and mobile devices, to enable faster, more reliable and more efficient transmission and management of digital media content.

Tao Thomas Wu, chief financial officer of the company, said the development of Xunlei's business model over the past three years has been significant. "Now we have more than 5 million paying users, which is an impressive number in China and indicates market recognition of our company," Wu said.

Xunlei's successful IPO is also attributable to its clear growth strategy, especially an all-round strategy for terminals of mobile devices and smart living rooms, Wu noted.

Xunlei is one of the top ten largest Chinese internet companies, with an average of approximately 300 million monthly visitors for the three months ending on March 31, according to the China-based consultancy iResearch.

WELLINGTON, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- Less than three weeks from a general election, New Zealand Prime Minister John Key is coming under increasing pressure to open up his administration to a wide- ranging and thorough investigation into allegations that it colluded with right-wing bloggers to smear and embarrass political opponents and undermine public servants.

Opposition calls mounted Monday for a full and independent inquiry after Justice Minister Judith Collins' weekend resignation over leaked e-mails suggesting she was party to a campaign to smear the Serious Fraud Office and Financial Markets Authority law enforcement agencies and their chief officials.

The smear campaigns were apparently orchestrated by a public relations consultant, working for the former head of a failed finance company who was under investigation by the agencies, and two right-wing bloggers with connections to the ruling center- right National Party.

Key said in a televised press conference Monday that a retired judge would probably lead an independent inquiry into the allegations of a smear campaign and the extent of Collins' involvement.

The terms of reference -- expected to be announced with other details on Tuesday -- would be about the conduct of Collins.

It is the second inquiry to be announced since the publication last month of a .
